Winter:  Ski, Ride, Sled or Snowmobile (on your own machine) from the Lodge front door, Skate on lighted Newport Common, or just relax in the spacious warmth of the Lodge.

Spring:  Visit Local Maple Sugar Houses, Fly fish on the Sugar River, Spring Ski on Mount Sunapee.  Anytime is good for cooking together at the Lodge, but for a break, visit one of the many delightful restaurants in Newport.

Summer:  Lake Sunapee is 6 minutes away, to fish, swim, boat or shop tax free at Sunapee Harbor.  You may canoe on Pillsbury State Park Ponds where no motorized vessels are allowed.  Try the Adventure Park at Mount Sunpee with its Zip Line Tour. Every Friday from 3 to 6 pm visit the colorful Newport Farmers' Market on beautiful  Newport Common.  Hike or bike on the Rails to Trails System under historic covered bridges, or enjoy a round of golf at the 18 hole Newport Golf Club.

Fall:  NH's breathtaking foliage colors accent every road in this part of the state, and we have charted several bike trips from the lodge so you may enjoy the scenery. The Art Gallery at the Newport Library Arts Center has revolving exhibits of paintings, quilts or sculpture, and the Augustus St.Gaudins National Park in nearby Cornish, NH, is filled with the famous artist's pieces.
